hi, I've gotten quite used to mod development for hotscreen, and I'm looking to make a few mods for people here. activity has been low as the program doesn't seem to be actively developed anymore but I would love to stir some activity again.

I wish it worked with more filters than just pixels though and I never got the 'game' to work properly. I could spin the wheel etc, but whenever a session was started, the session time and others features never actually started.

There was an attempt by developper few months back. Using a local llm connected to hotscreento describe whats on the screen nsfw. It was buggy if you could manage to do it smoothly. It would be hot. The image you looking is censored and described somewhere in the screen.

If possible, could you please share some guidance or tutorials on how to create mods, including the general workflow and basic steps? I would really appreciate it.
I’m very interested in learning how modding works, but I’m still quite new to it, so even a simple guide or a few examples would be incredibly helpful. I completely understand if you’re busy, and I don’t mean to impose. I’d just be very grateful for any advice or resources you’re willing to share.

I think I and everyone else would love it if you could mod Hotscreen to work with pc streaming and by extension vr streaming. The issue is a case of rendering pipeline. At no point does hotscreen even see the objects on screen as they're rendered before they're streamed to the headset. What's more the images being rendered are warped to fit the actual viewing of each eye much like any 360 degree image. So theres no guarantee the ai will run that well. But if you could mod hotscreen to insert itself into the pipeline better, as to allow people to watch 360 degree videos fully censored, EVERYONE would appreciate you.

I've looked into this and it's not feasible with hotscreen. there's a few reasons, but the biggest one is latency. in a lot of scenarios, VR experiences are already close to the limit in how much latency feels acceptable without inducing motion sickness, so any additional latency (in my experience, hotscreen usually needs a few extra frames, which is huge) would push it past the edge. it would also need its own detection model, hotscreen's pretrained models don't always pick up well and perform well with VR recordings.

the only feasible way imo to have a hotscreen-like experience in VR would be to pre-censor an entire video before viewing. I don't really think it's possible to do it for live gameplay, like if you're wanting censorship in VRChat. I have been thinking about it for some time and have been experimenting but it's just not doable live. I might make a program for censoring VR videos and rendering censors over it, but I'm not sure if I have the time right now.

There was a mod that was revolving around chastity and the time was visually added every time a censorship is triggered. But sadly it didn't have a real integration with Chaster. I would love to see something like this. Like with each minute you watch censored content minutes keep piling up to be added to the lock.
