For anyone else out there, the .Net 8 version that seems to help the startup is this one (x64): https://github.com/dotnet/core/blob/main...8.0.203.md

Am I missing an audio folder? I have audio in the hotscreen custom data audio folder, but the module seems to be looking for like an 'expose/audio' folder? I see your post says to make it manually, but I'm not finding an 'exposure' folder either. I ran the setup again just to be sure. The logs are looking at custom_data/built-in audios, but I dont have that folder. Was this from a previous version of hotscreen?
When I start a session, the little popup window seems to catch time and punishments correctly, but the hotscreen window doesnt seem to be tracking time or that a challenge has started.
When viewing eyes, the censors seem to work and cover up any 'bad areas', but when viewing any other 'bad area', the popup message works, but no censors. I was expecting the censors to also fire when viewing any bad area, but was this intentional?
The wheel for redeeming punishments seems to spin, but I never see it applied. This could be tied to the challenge session not working I suppose. I notice 'exposure' in the hotscreen screen is always at 'idle'.
And the gaze gaze and pixel censors dont seem to be working after I landed on the punishment, but the dot preview and eyes do along with the censor I pick under the eyes.

Overall, this is very interesting though!

if i understand your problem, you need to make the built in audio folder then inside those the expousre, the mod cant create any folders (i might be able to get this to work but for now it just bugged the whole mod

are you running censors enabled? the gaze wont work unless there are pixel censors running and detected at least once

Yea, like here's my censor tab, preview dot is good, eyes blacked works, but nothing from pixel punishment or gaze after getting punishments on the wheel. Using the normal filters section of hotscreen, it detects bad areas and it'll censor them and when I gaze at them, I get the messages, just no filter.

ok so just to check the censors do work but after the punishment they stop working? ive redone some of the good and bad area stuff cuz its confusing even for me, but currently all the bad area does is display the text, add punishment and affect the budget(changed in new update so the budget censors are right below the increaase/decrease section.

So when I apply the normal hotscreen filters, they work as normal. That's the same filter I apply under the 'eyes blacked' settings. I see the filter apply when I look at faces and it censors all 'bad areas'. I was expecting the same to happen when I look at any other 'bad area', but all I get is a popup message in that area and a punishment. So it knows I'm looking, but no filter is applied when like looking at a chest, but it does add punishments. When I spin the punishment wheel, I'll get pixel burst , pixelation and such, but I never see any changes. That goes for all the things on the wheel. I never really see a change in behavior. Then modifying the values in pixel punishment or gaze censor never seems to change any behavior either.

I think I'm starting to get some things. So like, I need to apply/activate a pixelated filter in the regular hotscreen filter tab and then apply that to the mod instead of a color censor box. Now when I land on 'pixel burst' or 'pixel lock' I start to see different behaviors. Sometimes they'll grow when looking at some 'bad areas' but not all and of course they'll decay. I tried playing with the preview pixel padding. Some success, not terribly accurate though. The pixel filter is just a basic filter, no auto increase in size on the usual filter menu, the mod will handle it. I see why you said sometimes it still confuses you lol
