if anyone is interested in connecting to my machine and setting up hotscreen. the more humiliating the better then message me please and I will send you the code to do it.
I am amazed how good this program works.
Thanks everyone for contributing.
But ...
I currently have 1 issue with Hotscreen 0.6 on Windows 11.
For example, when I use Windows Explorer and open an image, hotscreen will not be on top, so I have to click on the taskbar and on the Hotscreem application. This works until I close the image window. Then when I open another image, the same thing happens.
What also can happen is, that I open the image and the hotscreen filter is being applied, but when I click on the image, the filter is gone. Then I have to click the taskbar application again.
This not always happens, let's say it is about 50/50 which is too often because this way, censoring is not being enforced the right way.
Also, i use 2 monitors. I don't think this makes a difference for this issue though.
I tried using Windows Powertoys once to have Hotscreen always on top but then the whole screen becomes unusable because the Hotscreen application layer is on top.
Anyone else experienced this or can give some advice?
Thank you!
I would love to have vr support for hotscreen so I can censor anything inappropriate in any game/app inside my headset. Is this possible trough mods or is the main dev going to have to do it (if they want to/can)

I just wanted to express interest and suggest a linux compatible version. I've tried multiple ways to use Wine or other compatibility layers to make it work on my own, like with other programs, but it's not seeming to do the trick. I think it'd be valuable to do such a thing, especially since more and more users are leaving windows. No, not a lot, but enough to matter in time.
When I leave the latency set at 0 everything works great, but there is of course a small delay. If I increase this the delay goes away but then my screen is saturated a very bright white and it ruins the picture. How can I fix this?
Made a mod that randomly places a popup on your screen. Mod is pretty simple since I only recently started using Godot so I'm learning as I go. It's pretty much an upgraded version of detection notification mod.
Popups support both video(.ogv -> same video files you generate inside HotScreen) and image files(.jpg, .png). Just place them all in the same folder and it's going to pick them randomly.
Also would like to know in what mods the community would be interested in.
